Kevin Durant adds to his list of accolades by passing 4x NBA Champion Shaquille O'Neal in career points to reach No. 8 on the NBA All-Time Scoring list.

To overtake O'Neal's 28,596 points going into the game, the 14-time All-Star needed nine points. He ended the Suns' 115-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers with 22 points, finishing with a career total of 28,610. He tied O'Neal with eight points in the first half.

Durant now sits behind a handful of NBA legends in scoring.

The Phoenix Suns posted a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, of O’Neal congratulating Durant. O'Neal played two seasons in Phoenix from 2007-2009.

Durant's being this high on the all-time scoring list comes as a shock to none, as he does hold four NBA scoring titles for most points scored in a single NBA season. Durant is currently fourth in contention for the scoring title this season, averaging 27.7 points per game, only behind Luka Doncic (34.1), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (30.9), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (30.8).
