The Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 114-103 to win game one of their best-of-seven series.

Superstar Nikola Jokic was three assists from a triple-double, scoring 32 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists. Jokic was not the only standout performance in Game 1 for the Nuggets, the entire starting roster scored double digits, including guard Jamal Murray who scored 22 points and handed out ten assists to record a double-double.

For the Lakers, Anthony Davis and Lebron James combined for 57 of the Lakers 103 points, however their spark was not enough to win Game 1 in Denver. The game was decided in the third quarter, where the Nuggets outscored the Lakers 32-18 to take an 11-point victory entering the fourth quarter. The Lakers matched the Nuggets in the fourth quarter, scoring 25 points, but it was not enough to recover from Denver’s third-quarter run.

Game 2 is set to tip-off at 10:00 p.m. on April 22 in Denver, where the Nuggets look to remain undefeated at home, while the Lakers are hoping to split the series 1-1
