Zach Lavine's 37 points propels the Kings past the Cavaliers

The Sacramento Kings (38-40) stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-113 thanks to the help of Zach LaVine's 37 points.

The sharpshooting guard Lavine scored 11 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter to propel the Kings past the Cavs (62-16) to keep Sacramento in contention for a play-in seed.

DeMar DeRozan recorded 28 points, and Domantas Sabonis tallied 27 points and nine rebounds for Sacramento, who moved into ninth place in the Western Conference after its second straight victory.

DeRozan passed Jerry West (25,192) for 26th on the NBA's career scoring list. The 16-year veteran has now tallied 25,209 points in just under 1,200 games.

Ty Jerome led the Cavaliers with 20 points. Donovan Mitchell added 19, Jarrett Allen scored 17, and Evan Mobley scored 16. However, their efforts were not enough to knock off the Kings.

Despite the loss, the Cavaliers still lead the Eastern Conference by four games, four games ahead of the reigning world champion Boston Celtics.
