Since signing with the Jazz in 2022, Markkanen has averaged 24.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.95 assists, earning a spot on the Western Conference All-Star roster and the NBA Most Improved Player award in 2023.
Markkanen has been a huge spark for the Jazz since losing former All-Star guard Donavan Mitchell to the Clevland Cavaliers in 2022, ensuring that they have All-Star caliber talent on their roster, with hopes for a deep postseason run. With Markkanen’s new multi-million dollar extension, Utah fans can expect for him to be the face of the Jazz this upcoming season.
