Olympic gold medalist Steph Curry signed a one-year, 62.6 million dollar extension today to keep him with the Warriors through the 2026-2027 season. With this extension, he will be guaranteed $178 million over the next three years and has now moved himself into a career on the court earning over 500 million dollars. Other NBA players who hit that mark are LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Steph Curry has been the anchor of this Warriors team for over a decade now. As the greatest shooter of all time, Curry seems to want to stay with the Warriors for his entire career. He is now 36 years old; by the end of this extension, he will be 39 years old and possibly done with basketball.
Even still, Curry is a competitor, and last season's 46-36 season was an extremely down year for the team. Missing the playoffs for the first time in three years. Now focused on next season, the Warriors will be without longtime player Klay Thompson as he signed with the Mavericks in the offseason. Despite the team looking different and a little bit younger in some areas, Curry and the Warriors plan on improving from their 10th in the west season last year and making a solid run in the playoffs.
