Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 28 points and dished out 11 assists in just three quarters, and Chet Holmgren turned in a flawless shooting night as the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 126-102 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
Holmgren was perfect from the field, finishing with 23 points and 11 rebounds while going 9-for-9 overall, 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, and 3-for-3 from the foul line. Isaiah Joe added 18 points and rookie Ajay Mitchell chipped in 17 for the defending NBA champions, who improved to 11-1 and remained unbeaten at home (5-0).

Jonathan Kuminga led Golden State with 13 points, while Stephen Curry — returning after missing three games due to illness — was limited to 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting and picked up his fifth foul early in the third quarter. The Warriors fell to 1-6 on the road and managed their second-lowest scoring total of the season.
Despite being without defensive ace Lu Dort (right upper trap strain), the Thunder’s pressure defense stifled the Warriors throughout the night. Oklahoma City led 63-44 at halftime behind 15 points from Gilgeous-Alexander and 11 from Holmgren, who went 5-for-5 in the first half.
A sequence midway through the second quarter fired up the Paycom Center crowd when Draymond Green committed both a personal and technical foul, leading to three Thunder free throws and a 21-point lead. Gilgeous-Alexander later electrified the arena again with a three-point play over Green that extended the margin to 80-58. By the end of the third quarter, Oklahoma City led 107-72, allowing its stars to rest the entire fourth quarter.
Both squads are back in action on Wednesday night, as the Thunder host the Los Angeles Lakers and the Warriors travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs.
