Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram tallied 25 points to lead the Toronto Raptors past the struggling Brooklyn Nets, 119-109, on Tuesday night at Barclays Center.
He has now scored 20+ points in eight of the Raptors' first 11 games this season.
Immanuel Quickley added 24 points, 10 of them in the fourth quarter, as the Raptors won for the fifth time in their last six games. Scottie Barnes posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Jakob Poeltl contributed 12 points and 10 boards.
Toronto shot nearly 50% from the field (45 of 91) and dominated the glass with a 50-36 rebounding edge. The Raptors improved to 3-0 in their last three visits to Brooklyn.
Nic Claxton and Michael Porter Jr. led the Nets with 21 points apiece, but Brooklyn’s early-season woes continued. The Nets have now dropped 10 of their first 11 games and remain winless (0-6) at home.
Toronto took a 60-52 lead into halftime and stretched it to 14 early in the third quarter. Brooklyn rallied to within 83-81 late in the period before Jamal Shead’s buzzer-beating floater stopped the run. Quickley’s 3-pointer later ignited a decisive 7-0 burst that put the game out of reach at 102-89 with 7:41 remaining.
The Raptors will continue their five-game road trip in Cleveland on Thursday against the Cavaliers, while the Nets travel to Orlando to face the Magic on Friday.
