Allen was nearly unstoppable, shooting 12-for-17 from the field and 10-for-15 from beyond the arc, breaking the team record he previously shared after hitting nine 3-pointers on three separate occasions. He went a perfect 5-for-5 from deep in the third quarter, pouring in 17 points as Phoenix built on an already commanding lead.
Devin Booker added 19 points and Dillon Brooks scored 18 as the Suns notched their third straight win and fifth in six games, climbing above .500 for the first time this season at 6–5 after a rocky 1–4 start.
Trey Murphy III paced the Pelicans with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while rookie Jeremiah Fears and Saddiq Bey each contributed 15 points. But New Orleans (2–8) never recovered from a disastrous second quarter in which Phoenix outscored them 35–19 while hitting 9-of-13 from long range to take a 64–41 halftime lead.
The Suns led by as many as 32 points in the second half, using 14 players — 13 of whom scored — in a dominant all-around performance.
The Suns visit Dallas on Wednesday night to take on the Mavericks, while the Pelicans host the Portland Trail Blazers in New Orleans.
