Onyeka Okongwu scored 27 points as the Atlanta Hawks erased a 22-point fourth-quarter deficit to edge the Phoenix Suns 124-122 on Sunday night. The comeback gave Atlanta its fifth straight win and snapped Phoenix’s five-game winning streak, while completing a perfect 4-0 road trip for the Hawks.

Nickell Alexander-Walker added 26 points for Atlanta, including the first of two crucial free throws with three seconds left. Royce O’Neale grabbed the miss on the second attempt after his half-court shot bounced off the rim. Josh Johnson finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Dyson Daniels posted 11 points and 12 assists. Atlanta pulled off the win without All-Star guard Trae Young (right knee sprain) and center Kristaps Porzingis (right knee soreness).

Dillon Brooks led the Suns with 34 points, Devin Booker added 27, and Colin Gillespie contributed 15 points with nine rebounds and eight assists. Phoenix was missing Grayson Allen (right quadriceps contusion) and Jalen Green, who will be out at least four more weeks with a strained right hamstring.

Atlanta’s Zaccharie Risacher scored 15 points before leaving in the fourth quarter with a left hip contusion after an awkward fall following a dunk. He walked off the court under his own power.

The Suns controlled much of the first half, closing it on a 21-7 run to take a 58-57 lead. Brooks scored 16 in the third as Phoenix opened a 95-77 advantage heading into the fourth. But the Hawks mounted a furious rally, outscoring Phoenix in the final period to pull off the dramatic comeback.
