Milwaukee, playing without two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (left knee patellar tendinopathy), was paced by Ryan Rollins’ 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Myles Turner added 21 points, but Kyle Kuzma struggled, managing just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting after a strong outing against Dallas.
Charlotte seized the lead with 3:52 left in the opening period and never looked back, taking a 59–50 advantage into halftime. The Hornets’ edge on the glass (50–34) and at the free-throw line (23–27 compared to Milwaukee’s 8–13) proved decisive.
The Hornets were without LaMelo Ball (right ankle impingement) and Brandon Miller (left shoulder subluxation).
The two teams will meet again Friday night in Milwaukee, where Antetokounmpo is expected to return.
