The Los Angeles Lakers (36-21) took down the Minnesota Timberwolves (32-28) 111-102, where the Lakers held control the entire contest.

LeBron James scored a game-high 33 points, 17 rebounds and six assists. His new partner in crime, Luka Doncic, also recorded a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, despite shooting one for nine from beyond the arc. But the triple he made was pretty incredible.

Austin Reaves joined the Lakers' big three, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Jaxson Hayes was the last Laker to reach double-digit scoring and fell three rebounds short of a double-double (10 points, 7 rebounds).

The Lakers took a 33-17 lead at the end of the first quarter, and from that point on, they never looked back. Despite not winning a single other quarter, Los Angeles’ 16-point lead in the first 12 minutes helped them prevail over Minnesota.

Terrence Shannon Jr., a rookie from Illinois, surprisingly led the Timberwolves in scoring, tallying 25 points, after averaging 5.3 coming into the contest. Anthony Edwards followed closely in his footsteps, recording 18 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out five assists.

Jaden McDaniels (15), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (14), and Mike Conley (10) all joined their aforementioned teammates in double digit scoring, but it was not enough to propel themselves past the Lakers.

The Lakers return to action on Friday, February 28th, at 10:00 p.m. ET, when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers. On the same night, the Timberwolves travel to Utah to take on the Jazz at 9:30 p.m. ET.
