Payton Pritchard scored 24 points, dished out nine assists, and hit five 3-pointers as the Boston Celtics cruised to a 131–95 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night at TD Garden.
The Celtics dominated from start to finish, never trailing and building a lead that ballooned to 38 points. Derrick White added 20 points, and Jaylen Brown chipped in 19 as Boston rebounded from a sluggish performance the previous night in Philadelphia.
Memphis was without star guard Ja Morant, who missed the game after spraining his right ankle Tuesday in a loss to the Knicks. In his absence, Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 18 points, while Santi Aldama added 14. The loss marked Memphis’ seventh in its last eight games.
Boston overwhelmed the Grizzlies on both ends, sinking 21 three-pointers and dominating the glass with a 58–41 rebounding advantage, including a 34–12 margin in second-chance points. The Celtics shot 53% in the first half and took a commanding 67–46 lead into the break, never allowing Memphis to recover.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies struggled offensively, shooting just 34% from the field and 10-for-43 from deep.
The Grizzlies travel to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, while the Celtics return home to host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
