Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham delivered a monster performance Monday night, recording 46 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists to rally the Detroit Pistons to a 137–135 overtime win over the Washington Wizards.

Despite shooting just 14-of-45 from the field — the most attempts by any NBA player this season — Cunningham willed the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons to their seventh straight victory. He also added five steals and went 16-of-18 from the free-throw line in his 12th career triple-double.

Detroit's rookie guard Daniss Jenkins hit the game-tying 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation and finished with a season-high 24 points. Jalen Duren added 19 points and 14 rebounds as Detroit improved to 9–2.

CJ McCollum scored a season-high 42 points for Washington, which dropped its ninth straight game to fall to 1–10. McCollum had a chance to win it late in overtime but missed two potential go-ahead shots in the final moments.

The Wizards led 117–108 with just over four minutes left in regulation before Cunningham sparked a furious comeback. After drawing double teams all night, the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week found Jenkins in the corner for a clutch 3 that tied the game at 127 to force overtime.

In the extra frame, Duncan Robinson’s 3-pointer with 1:04 remaining put Detroit ahead for good, 134–133.

Cam Whitmore added 20 points, and Alex Sarr posted 15 points and 15 rebounds for Washington in the loss.
