Jalen Green bounced back from a rough playoff debut with 38 points and eight 3-pointers to lead the Houston Rockets to a 109-94 win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, evening their first-round series at 1-1.
Green, who scored just seven points in Game 1, came out aggressive and never let up. Houston never trailed and took control early, capitalizing on the Warriors losing Jimmy Butler to a pelvis contusion late in the first quarter.
Alperen Sengun added 17 points and 16 rebounds, and Tari Eason chipped in 14 off the bench. The Rockets used a fourth-quarter burst, including a Green step-back three, to push their lead back to 19 after a brief Golden State run.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 20 points and nine assists, becoming the 11th player in NBA history to reach 4,000 career playoff points.
Game 3 is Saturday night at Golden State.
