Spurs vs. Grizzlies Dec. 2

Harrison Barnes notched a season-high 31 points, De’Aaron Fox added 29, and the San Antonio Spurs held off the Memphis Grizzlies 126–119 on Tuesday night.

Dylan Harper chipped in 15 points as San Antonio improved to 6–2 since losing Victor Wembanyama to a strained left calf on Nov. 15.

Zach Edey powered Memphis with 19 points and 15 rebounds, continuing his strong play as the Grizzlies extended a competitive stretch without star point guard Ja Morant. Memphis entered having won three straight and five of six.

Barnes rebounded from a quiet night in Minnesota on Sunday, when he went 1-for-4 from deep, by drilling his first three 3-point attempts on the way to a 7-for-12 performance from beyond the arc. He finished 10-for-20 overall.

Fox scored 11 of his 29 in the fourth quarter as the Spurs erased a seven-point deficit and pushed their home record to 9–2.

Memphis dominated inside with a 58–42 advantage in the paint, capitalizing on Wembanyama’s absence while the rookie watched from the bench in a brown hoodie. Edey controlled the interior, shooting 8-for-12 and grabbing 11 defensive rebounds. The 7-foot-3 center was involved in several physical moments — earning a loose-ball foul after tangling with Jeremy Sochan in the first half and later drawing a common foul for elbowing Luke Kornet with 9:36 remaining.

Cam Spencer added a season-high 21 points for the Grizzlies, while Jaylen Wells contributed 20. Jaren Jackson Jr. was held to seven points and six rebounds.
