Suns vs. Lakers

Dillon Brooks exploded for 33 points, and Gillespie poured in a career-high 28, including 16 in the fourth quarter, as the Phoenix Suns snapped the Los Angeles Lakers’ seven-game winning streak with a decisive 125–108 victory on Monday night.

Devin Booker left the game early with a right groin injury after scoring 11 points in the first two minutes, but Phoenix rallied without their star, with Gillespie hitting a career-best eight 3-pointers and the Suns forcing 22 Lakers turnovers. Phoenix stormed out to a 21-point third-quarter lead and never looked back, despite Luka Doncic dropping 38 points for Los Angeles.

Austin Reaves added 16 points for the Lakers, who were playing their third home game in four nights. LeBron James finished with 10 points, keeping his historic streak alive with double-digit scoring in 1,297 consecutive regular-season games, dating back to January 7, 2007, less than three weeks after Suns rookie Cooper Flagg was born.

With Booker sidelined, Brooks carried the first half, scoring 23 points on 11-of-16 shooting, while Gillespie took over in the second half, hitting big shots from deep to seal the win.
