Aaron Wiggins' 35 points lead Thunder past Jazz

Aaron Wiggins scored 35 points, and Isaiah Joe added 32, including a career-high 10 3-pointers, to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder (47-34) to a dominant 145-111 victory over the Utah Jazz (23-58) on Friday, April 11.

The win marked the Thunder’s 31st road victory of the season, second only to Boston. Jaylin Williams recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, helping Oklahoma City extend its lead throughout the game.

The Thunder, without MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (left shin contusion), relied on their outside shooting to build a substantial lead. Oklahoma City hit 13 3-pointers and shot 45% from beyond the arc in the first half, capped by a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Joe to give the Thunder a 73-58 halftime lead.

Svi Mykhailiuk led Utah with a career-high 27 points, and Brice Sensabaugh added 25 points and six assists. Despite cutting a 12-point deficit to 48-44 early in the second quarter, the Jazz couldn’t keep pace as the Thunder re-established a double-digit lead. Utah has now lost 20 of its last 22 games.

Joe's shooting performance was especially notable after struggling in his previous four games. He shot 5-of-17 from deep. Oklahoma City’s hot start, including a season-high 46 points in the first quarter, set the tone for the game.

The Thunder will visit New Orleans on Sunday, while Utah concludes its season at Minnesota.
