Steph Curry led the Warriors with 25 points

The Golden State Warriors (47-32) stayed in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race with a dominant 133-95 road win over the Phoenix Suns (33-46) on Tuesday, April 8, at Footprint Center.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 25 points, and rookie Brandin Podziemski added 22 as Golden State built a 69-43 halftime lead and never looked back. Curry had 19 in the first half, while Podziemski chipped in 17 before the break. The Warriors led by as many as 41 in the second half.

Golden State is now tied with Denver, Memphis, and the L.A. Clippers for the No. 4 through No. 7 spots in the West, with all four teams sitting at 47-32. The Warriors are aiming to finish in the top six to avoid the play-in tournament.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 21 points, but Phoenix dropped its seventh straight game and is now on the brink of playoff elimination. To claim a spot in the play-in, the Suns must win their final three games and hope the Mavericks lose out.

Golden State shot 52.7% from the field and went 18-for-38 (47.4%) from 3-point range. Moses Moody gave the Warriors the lead for good with a 3-pointer at the 8:54 mark of the first quarter to make it 10-8. Phoenix never led again and shot just 39.8% from the field, including 12-of-43 (27.9%) from deep.

The Suns' 38-point loss was their worst of the season.

Up next, the Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, while the Suns welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder.
