Victor Wembanyama delivered a monster performance Monday night, scoring 38 points — including 18 in the fourth quarter — to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 121–117 comeback win over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

The seven-foot-four phenom added 12 rebounds, five assists, and five blocks while draining six 3-pointers on 11-of-19 shooting. His stat line made NBA history, as he became the first player ever to record at least 35 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, five blocks, and five 3-pointers in a single game.

De’Aaron Fox chipped in 21 points in just his second game back, rookie Stephon Castle notched 19 points and 11 assists, and Luke Kornet added 16 for the surging Spurs, who picked up their third straight win and first victory in Chicago since March 2021.

Chicago, which entered the night unbeaten at home, fell to 5–1 at the United Center and has now dropped four of its last five overall. Kevin Huerter, starting in place of injured guard Josh Giddey (ankle), led the Bulls with 23 points. Ayo Dosunmu and Tre Jones each scored 20, while Jalen Smith added 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bulls looked in control early, using a 10–2 run late in the third quarter to build a 98–89 lead heading into the final period. But Wembanyama took over from there, single-handedly sparking a 10–0 Spurs run with a fadeaway jumper and back-to-back 3-pointers to pull San Antonio within striking distance.

The Spurs closed the game with another decisive 10–0 surge, capped by two Wembanyama triples and a pair of clutch free throws from Castle that made it 119–114 with 18 seconds to go.

San Antonio outshot Chicago 43.5% to 28% in the fourth quarter, flipping the game behind Wembanyama’s dominance on both ends.

The Spurs look to continue their victory into Wednesday when they host the Warriors in the first of two straight home contests against Golden State, and the Bulls hope to bounce back against the Pistons in Detroit the same night.
