The Predictors

Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara each scored 18 points as the Portland Trail Blazers cruised to a 114–95 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

Portland controlled the game from the opening tip, never trailing and building a lead that grew to as many as 31 points. Donovan Clingan recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Scoot Henderson added 16 points off the bench.

The Trail Blazers set the tone early with a 10–0 run to open the first quarter and carried a 35–20 lead into the second. Their defense stifled Brooklyn throughout the first half, holding the Nets to just 30% shooting and 14.3% from 3-point range en route to a commanding 65–41 halftime advantage.

Portland maintained control in the second half behind efficient offense, finishing the night shooting 51% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc. The win kept the Blazers within striking distance in the Western Conference play-in race, sitting just a half-game behind the Golden State Warriors for the ninth spot.

Brooklyn, playing short-handed, dropped its fourth straight game and 14th in its last 16. Nic Claxton led the Nets with 12 points and 10 rebounds, recording his 11th double-double of the season and 87th of his career, moving past Sam Bowie for eighth-most in franchise history. The Nets were without leading scorer Michael Porter Jr., who missed his third consecutive game with an ankle injury, as well as Noah Clowney, who was held out for rest.
