Curry's 27-point double double helps Warriors rout Kings 137-103

Stephen Curry scored 27 points and handed out a season-high 10 assists for his second double-double of the season as the Golden State Warriors rolled past the Sacramento Kings 137–103 on Friday night.

Jimmy Butler contributed 15 points, six assists and six rebounds for Golden State, which posted a season-best 39 assists. Curry had 18 points by halftime and finished 10-for-21 from the field, knocking down six 3-pointers. It marked his 11th game in the last 13 with at least 25 points.

DeMar DeRozan led Sacramento with 24 points, but the Kings continued to struggle, losing their seventh straight game and eighth in their last nine. Zach LaVine added 15 points but missed six of seven attempts from beyond the arc as Sacramento shot just 7-for-27 on 3-pointers.

The game was still competitive late in the third quarter when Dennis Schroder’s layup tied it at 84 with 3:13 remaining. Golden State responded emphatically, closing the quarter on a 13–0 run to seize control.

Golden State has now won eight of its last 11 games and three straight at home, continuing a key eight-game homestand at Chase Center. The Warriors have scored at least 120 points in each of their last seven victories.

Russell Westbrook finished with 13 points, seven assists and four rebounds for Sacramento. He was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul with 8:16 left after replay review showed him locking elbows with Brandin Podziemski and pulling him to the floor following a steal.

The Warriors’ bench was dominant, scoring 66 points. De’Anthony Melton led the reserves with 19 points, Podziemski added 14, and Gary Payton II chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds.

Kings rookie and former Stanford standout Maxime Raynaud had eight points and seven rebounds while playing in front of a large contingent of supporters.

Golden State led 63–59 at halftime after shooting 54.2% from the field, compared to 52% for Sacramento.
