The Predictors

Sacramento Kings star Domantas Sabonis will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, league sources told ESPN's Shams Charania. Sabonis suffered the injury in mid-November and missed 27 games while attempting to rehab it. He returned for eight games before the All-Star break but opted for surgery as the Kings’ season spiraled out of contention.

With Sacramento holding a league-worst 12-44 record and having dropped 14 straight games, Sabonis is prioritizing a full recovery and looking toward next season. He has two years and $94 million remaining on his contract. The Kings explored trade possibilities for Sabonis before the deadline but were unable to complete a deal. Sources indicate new general manager Scott Perry may revisit those discussions over the summer.
