Nickeil Alexander-Walker erupted for a career-high 41 points to lead the surging Atlanta Hawks to a 124–112 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night, extending Atlanta’s winning streak to 10 games while snapping Orlando’s at seven.
Jalen Johnson added a dominant all-around performance with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists for his 13th triple-double of the season — and second in as many games — while Dyson Daniels chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds. The victory pushed Atlanta to 38–31 and back into eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Alexander-Walker set the tone early, pouring in 24 first-half points as the Hawks built a commanding 67–50 halftime lead. He surpassed his previous career high of 38, which came earlier this season, and remained in control throughout.
Atlanta blew the game open in the third quarter, scoring 23 points in the first 5:12 and stretching the lead to 29. The Hawks finished the period with 37 points and carried a 104–83 advantage into the fourth.
The Magic made a late push, trimming the deficit to 12 with about 3:30 remaining, but Atlanta responded to put the game out of reach.
Paolo Banchero recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds for Orlando, while Desmond Bane also scored 18. The Magic were without Anthony Black, Jonathan Isaac and Franz Wagner due to injuries.
Jonathan Kuminga, playing in just his fifth game since joining Atlanta in February, contributed seven points and eight rebounds while continuing to work back from a bone bruise.
