Nickeil Alexander-Walker hit a short jumper with 1.3 seconds left and finished with 23 points to lift the Atlanta Hawks to a 121-119 win over the Utah Jazz on Thursday night.
Newly acquired Jock Landale had a season-high 29 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 45 seconds remaining. He also set season highs with four blocks, five assists, and five three-pointers in his first start for Atlanta after being traded from Utah to fill in for the injured Onyeka Okongwu.
Jalen Johnson recorded his third consecutive triple-double, posting 22 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists, marking his 10th of the season — second in the NBA only to Nikola Jokic. Cory Kispert added 20 points, his highest since joining the Hawks in the Trae Young trade.
For Utah, rookie Ace Bailey tied the game at 119 with nine seconds left, and Isaiah Collier played 48 minutes for the second straight game, finishing with 25 points and 11 assists. Kyle Filipowski contributed 15 points and 17 rebounds, while Lauri Markkanen and Brice Sensabaugh each scored 18. The Jazz, who were limited to eight players, have lost 17 of 21 games.
