As part of the deal with the Chicago Bulls, the Hornets are sending guard Collin Sexton, forward Ousmane Dieng and three future second-round picks to Chicago. The Oklahoma City Thunder are also involved, with veteran center Mason Plumlee heading from Charlotte to Oklahoma City. Dieng, who is currently with the Thunder, will ultimately be routed to Chicago to complete the series of transactions.
White, Chicago’s leading scorer this season, gives Charlotte an immediate offensive boost. He is averaging 18.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 43.8% from the field. White is expected to slot into a prominent role alongside rookie Kon Knueppel and All-Star guard LaMelo Ball as the Hornets continue their surge up the Eastern Conference standings.
Charlotte has been one of the league’s hottest teams in 2026, riding a seven-game winning streak that has pushed it back into the SoFi Play-In Tournament picture. During that stretch, the Hornets rank second in the NBA in both offensive and defensive rating and are one win away from their longest single-season winning streak since December 1999.
Conley, acquired by Chicago earlier this week in a separate three-team trade with Minnesota, provides veteran leadership and depth. The 38-year-old has averaged 4.4 points and 2.9 assists this season, primarily in a reserve role, and is expected to serve as a steadying presence for Charlotte’s young roster.
Chicago, meanwhile, adds Sexton as a dependable bench scorer. Sexton is averaging 13.7 points and three assists this season and has thrived in a reserve role, coming off the bench in 30 of his 42 appearances. The Bulls also receive Dieng and additional draft capital as they continue reshaping their roster ahead of the trade deadline.
