The New York Knicks continued their surge Sunday night, rolling past the Washington Wizards 145–113 for their sixth straight win.
Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with a dominant 26-point, 16-rebound performance, while Jalen Brunson added 23 points as New York overwhelmed Washington on both ends.
The Knicks showcased their depth and efficiency throughout. Josh Hart knocked down all three of his attempts from beyond the arc and finished with 16 points, while Mikal Bridges contributed 14 points and six assists. Off the bench, Mitchell Robinson was perfect from the field, going 5-for-5 en route to 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 17 minutes.
New York’s offense hit another gear after halftime, pouring in 77 second-half points while shooting nearly 62% over the final two quarters. Overall, the Knicks connected on 58.5% of their shots and an impressive 53% from 3-point range, while also converting 18 of 19 free throws.
Rookie Tyler Kolek provided a spark late, scoring 11 points in just over five minutes on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting line, including 3-for-3 from deep. His strong showing came after a 42-point outing earlier in the day in the G League.
The Wizards, meanwhile, dropped their 16th straight game despite a strong effort from Jaden Hardy, who drilled seven 3-pointers and finished with 25 points. Anthony Gill added 18 in the loss.
New York built a 68–52 halftime lead and never looked back, stretching the margin to as many as 33 points in the fourth quarter. The win also marked the Knicks’ 12th consecutive victory over Washington, their second-longest streak in the series.
The Wizards were shorthanded, playing without Justin Champagnie, who served a one-game suspension following an on-court altercation in Saturday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
