LeBron James has made the decision to play his 24th NBA season with the Philadelphia 76ers, the four-time league champion announced on Friday. James will join a roster featuring two-time MVP Joel Embiid, 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey.
James signed a two-year, $8 million league minimum with Philadelphia with the hopes of capturing his fourth league title, and first since 2020 with the Los Angeles lakers.
"I still want to compete, to win and to have a chance at the feeling of winning another championship," James said via X. "I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time."
James has led the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Lakers to the Finals in 10 seasons, and made eight consecutive apperences from 2011-18 with Miami and Cleveland.
