Atlanta Hawks forward Mouhamed Gueye and Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid have each been fined $35,000 for their involvement in an on-court altercation, the league announced Tuesday through Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations James Jones.
The incident occurred with 11:52 remaining in the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s 138-116 win over Atlanta on Feb. 9 at Target Center. Gueye was called for a defensive foul after pushing Reid from behind. Reid then confronted Gueye, and the two players grabbed each other’s jerseys in an escalating exchange.
Both players were assessed technical fouls and ejected from the game.
