Egor Demin knocked down a 3-pointer in his 34th consecutive game to set an NBA rookie record, then capped the night with 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Brooklyn Nets snapped a seven-game skid with a 109-99 win over the Utah Jazz on Friday night.

Demin established the mark on Brooklyn’s first basket and went on to hit 6 of 12 shots from beyond the arc. Cam Thomas added 21 points for the Nets, while Day’ron Sharpe finished with 16 points and nine rebounds and Danny Wolf chipped in 14. Brooklyn controlled the glass and second chances, outscoring Utah 20-2 in that category.

Keyonte George led the Jazz with 26 points and seven assists, and Brice Sensabaugh scored 18 off the bench. Kyle Filipowski posted 14 points and 12 rebounds and Ace Bailey added 12 for Utah, which has dropped five straight and nine of its last 10.

Brooklyn seized control early in the fourth quarter with an 8-0 burst capped by Jalen Wilson’s 3-pointer to make it 91-83. Utah briefly closed the gap to two on a Cody Williams dunk, but Demin and Wolf answered with three 3-pointers to push the lead back to double digits.

Thomas carried the Nets in the second quarter, scoring 14 consecutive points during a stretch that helped Brooklyn open a 52-38 lead. Utah regrouped to cut the deficit to one possession by halftime and tied the game early in the third, but the Jazz never managed to move in front.
