The Brooklyn Nets are also reportedly acquiring forward Hunter Tyson from the Denver Nuggets, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports. Tyson, a 2023 second-round pick, has spent his first three NBA seasons with Denver. This year, he has appeared in 21 games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds on 26.9% shooting. Last season, he played in 51 games, posting 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 37.5%.
Brooklyn is adding Tyson to bolster frontcourt depth and provide additional options off the bench. While his role in Denver was limited, the Nets are expected to give him opportunities to contribute in a more consistent rotation as they aim to strengthen their roster ahead of the playoffs.
