The Detroit Pistons continued their strong play Thursday night, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 131–109 behind a balanced offensive performance.
Duncan Robinson scored 19 points to lead Detroit, which sits atop the Eastern Conference standings. The victory was the Pistons’ second straight after snapping a season-worst four-game losing streak. Detroit dominated from the outset and has now beaten both Brooklyn and Philadelphia by an average of 30 points in its last two games, never trailing in either matchup.
Javonte Green added 17 points, while Jalen Duren finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons.
Philadelphia focused much of its defense on Cade Cunningham, frequently sending double teams that limited his scoring chances. Cunningham attempted just six shots — tied for the third-fewest of his career — and finished with eight points. Even so, he controlled the game as a playmaker, recording 13 assists and five rebounds in 28 minutes.
The 76ers trimmed Detroit’s lead after trapping Cunningham aggressively in the second quarter. He scored eight points in the half and tallied nine assists but also committed four turnovers as Philadelphia briefly found some momentum.
MarJon Beauchamp scored 17 points to lead Philadelphia, while Cameron Payne added 15. The 76ers have now lost five of their last seven games.
Detroit had pushed its advantage to 17 points in the second quarter and maintained control the rest of the way to secure the comfortable win.
