Rookie VJ Edgecombe filled the stat sheet with 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Andre Drummond posted a double-double, and the Philadelphia 76ers extended their winning streak to five games with a 113-94 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia controlled the game with its physicality inside, outrebounding Golden State 55-34 and collecting 24 offensive boards. The Sixers also capitalized on 20 Warriors turnovers, turning them into 15 points to pull away in the second half.

Trendon Watford provided a spark off the bench with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Adem Bona was perfect in the first half, making all five of his field-goal attempts in nine minutes to help the Sixers take a 58-56 lead into halftime. Bona finished with 11 points.

Despite dealing with Bay Area traffic that delayed the team’s second bus until roughly 75 minutes before tipoff, Philadelphia showed no signs of fatigue while playing the second night of a back-to-back after beating the Clippers in Los Angeles on Monday.

Golden State played without Stephen Curry, who remained sidelined with a painful right knee after exiting early in Friday’s loss to Detroit. Jonathan Kuminga also missed his fifth straight game with a bone bruise in his left knee. Gui Santos and Pat Spencer led the Warriors with 13 points apiece, and Moses Moody added 12 as Golden State dropped its third consecutive home game.

The Warriors briefly found their rhythm early, hitting eight 3-pointers in the opening quarter and shooting better than 63% overall in the period. Al Horford scored 10 points while battling foul trouble, and he and Draymond Green traded assists on back-to-back 3s midway through the first. But Golden State couldn’t sustain that efficiency, and Philadelphia steadily took control after halftime.
