Anthony Edwards scored 22 points and delivered a highlight-reel dunk as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Toronto Raptors 115–107 on Thursday night for their fifth consecutive victory.

Edwards provided the night’s most memorable moment in the third quarter. After using a crossover to break free into the lane, he elevated well above the rim and threw down a powerful two-handed slam over RJ Barrett, flexing and shouting afterward as the two exchanged a light bump while running back up the court.

The performance followed Edwards’ 41-point outing in Minnesota’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in the week. This time he was highly efficient, shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 5-for-8 from 3-point range.

With the Houston Rockets losing to the Golden State Warriors in overtime, Minnesota improved to 40–23 and moved one game ahead of Houston for third place in the Western Conference standings.

Rudy Gobert finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves, while Julius Randle added 17 points and Donte DiVincenzo contributed 16.

Barrett led Toronto with 25 points and Immanuel Quickley added 18. The Raptors have dropped four of their last five games but remain fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Brandon Ingram, who was listed as questionable with a sprained left thumb, scored 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting for Toronto.

Minnesota led 55–54 at halftime before taking control with an 11–0 run in the third quarter, building an 86–70 advantage that the Raptors were unable to overcome.
