Washington Wizards guard Bub Carrington has been named an injury replacement for the 2026 Castrol Rising Stars, stepping in for fellow Wizard Alex Sarr.
Sarr, a sophomore, will miss the event due to a right hamstring strain. Carrington will join Team T-Mac, led by honorary coach Tracy McGrady, for Friday night’s showcase at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The game will stream at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
Carrington has played in 53 games this season and is averaging 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists. He leads Washington with 110 made 3-pointers and is tied for the third-most 3s among NBA sophomores, shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc.
The Castrol Rising Stars event is part of NBA All-Star 2026 festivities and features teams drafted by McGrady, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Austin Rivers.
