Chargers offseason free agent signee CB J.C. Jackson suffered a Patellar Tendon Rupture yesterday. His season is officially over. During the game the medical staff could be seen tending to Jackson and placing an air cast over his injured leg due to the patellar dislocation, however, following the game an MRI was obtained which showed the damage to the patellar tendon as well.

The Chargers will now look to Michael Davis and Asante Samuel as their starting corners with Bryce Callahan as the nickel back per Ourlads.

JC Jackson is a special talent but patellar tendon ruptures are not easy to return from especially at the cornerback position where quick cuts, jumping and speed bursts and decelerations are necessary to do the job at the elite level. He will have a long road ahead of him as he rehabilitates.
