Joe Mixon has missed the last two games due to a concussion he suffered. The team and medical staff has been very careful as he works his way through the concussion protocol. In his absence Samaje Perine has stepped right into the lead role at running back and done some damage adding 164 yards rushing, 84 yards receiving and 1 TD in his starts along with the 30 yards rushing, 52 yards receiving and 3 TDs he had in the game Mixon was injured in.

The team is doing the right thing by giving Mixon time to heal and recover and putting his health first. It does look like we will most likely see him back this week however as Zac Taylor has said he could clear protocol.

The Bengals will be happy to have their 1-2 punch back and be back closer to full health on offense with Ja'Marr Chase on the field as well.
