Each week this season, we will give you some waiver wire selections to help power your fantasy team to a championship. As we play in deeper leagues, we will try to get you players who may not be as obvious. There may be other available players in shallow leagues, and occasionally we will call that out.

    QBs:

    1. Carson Wentz - The Wentz last chance tour opened up this week with the Commanders, and Carson showed up big time with 4 TDs in a big game for him. He should be on many waiver wires with an ADP of QB26 before the first week. As in years past, the question remains, can he ever return to that magical year in Philly, or is this it? I am game to take the ride. Wentz logged in as the QB3 in my main league.
    2. Geno Smith - Geno Smith started the season at an ADP of QB33 before the first week. With a gritty performance last night, he finished at QB13 for the week, which isn't amazing, but if you are the Dak owner, there is a good chance he is on the wire and looks to be serviceable for the near term.
    3. Cooper Rush - Dak is out for a while now, and Rush is a six-year, undrafted vet journeyman. I recommend this as a desperation play, as there is a good chance the Cowboys will enter the trade market if they want to salvage the season. He might be one of your few options if your league is deep.

    RBs:

    1. SF RBs - Jeff Wilson is the play here, but my guess is he is not available in most leagues. Complicating the matter is that 2023 3rd rounder Tyrion Davis-Price was a healthy scratch last week in favor of undrafted Jordan Mason. Given his history, I would pass on Wilson in favor of the two rookies. It's hard to say who will get the nod, but by the time there is clarity, I imagine they will both be gone after this week's waivers. The considerable risk here is Trey Lance and Deebo Samuel running the ball.
    2. Jaylen Warren - Najee Harris is Questionable this week and could see a few weeks out with an injury that may aggravate his preseason lisfranc injury. Warren was RB76 in ADP, so he is probably on your waiver wire. He is perhaps not a season maker, but the injury to Harris could linger.
    3. Dontrell Hilliard - Hilliard caught two TDs last week, and while he is primarily a handcuff to Derrick Oien Henry, he may be in more of a Kenneth Gainwell role this season to reduce the wear and tear Henry has been getting the last few years. With an ADP of RB64, he should be on your waiver wire this week.

    WRs:

    1. Robbie Anderson - Anderson appeared to be a favorite new target for Mayfield with five catches, 100+ yards, and a TD last week. With an ADP of WR71, he should be available. Anderson has been streaky in the past, so there is some risk, but probably worth grabbing if you need a WR as he logged in at WR11 in week 1.
    2. Jahan Dotson - Rookies WRs are always a risk, but Dotson made a case for a roster spot this week, logging 2TDs and a WR12 ranking in week one. His fortunes will be tied to Wentz, but he could be a steal. With an ADP of WR56, there is a decent shot he is available.
    3. Curtis Samuel - Curtis was also a beneficiary of Wentz's great week. Samuel logged in with an ADP of WR85 and ended as WR13 in week one. Much like Dotson above, it's hard to say much with one week in the books, but depending on your roster, he might be worth a flyer.

    TEs:

    1. OJ Howard - Howard has struggled to live up to his first-round draft stock, and he gets new life in Houston with 2nd year QB Davis Mills. In week one, he turned in the second-best performance of TEs, coming off an ADP of TE48 based on his past failings. While this was a good week, be careful.
    2. Gerald Everett - It's hard to get too excited about the TE in the loaded Chargers offense, but if you are struggling for a TE, Everett has a solid week and will get looks down the road, especially with Keenan Allen out, it could be boom or bust.
    3. Taysom Hill - Buyer beware. Who knows how the Saints will use the QB/TE/FB in the coming weeks, but he could be a valuable stash, especially with the TE classification. As with all the other TEs this week, none of these are without some risk.

Good luck and happy waiver wire hunting!
