Jalen Ramsey Returns

Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey is set to make his season debut today against the New England Patriots.

He was traded to the Dolphins from the Rams over the off season in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick, defensive end Byron Young, and tight end Hunter Long.

Ramsey has been out since training camp after he tore his meniscus early on and needed surgery to fix it. He was activated off the injury reserve on Saturday.

Helping the Dolphins Succeed

The All-Pro corner is what is thought to be the missing piece on a defense that has been subpar throughout the season. The Dolphins defense has allowed nearly 27 points per game, which is 28th in the league. They also let up around 345 yards per game, which also ranks close to last in the NFL.

Ramsey will look to help out the lackluster secondary in hopes of providing a boost for their offense, which is one of the best in the NFL. The Dolphins currently have a -3 turnover ratio, meaning they have three fewer takeaways then they do turnovers. This is one of many stats Miami hopes Ramsey can help fix during his return.

Ramsey has been considered one of the best defensive players in football throughout his entire career, so he will look to come back as that player in a Dolphins uniform.

Summary

The 29-year-old will add much more safety to a weaker Dolphins secondary and will turn their defense into the super-bowl caliber defense they are looking for. The Dolphins have tons of star power all over the field, both offensively and defensively, so now they will just have to put it all together.

They come into week 8 having a 5-2 record and will host the Patriots in an AFC East divisional clash. Ramsey hopes to help the Dolphins improve to 6-2 and make a push at the Super Bowl, which this team is very capable of.
