Panthers expect rookie quarterback Bryce Young to miss Week 3's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field; Carolina expects veteran QB Andy Dalton to start in his place.

"If Andy is the starter, we have a lot of confidence." said head coach Frank Reich

Dalton, who has played in the NFL since his 2011 start with the Cincinnati Bengals, is looking to lead his team to a victory against Seattle in his first season with the Panthers.

Although Dalton is a veteran quarterback, he still threw for 2,871 yards and 18 touchdowns in 14 games in the 2022 season with the New Orleans Saints, sharing time with former Florida State University quarterback Jamis Winston.

Dalton must fill the shoes of Heisman Trophy winner and first-overall pick Bryce Hall; he has the weapons to do so. WR Adam Thielen, TE Hayden Hurst, and RB Miles Sanders will be at Dalton's disposal.

The Panthers' defense will need to step up to support their new QB and cut down on the 281 yards and 22 points they allow on average each game.
