49ers Ricky Pearsall Shot During Attempted Robbery

Rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot Saturday afternoon during an attempted robbery at Union Square. Pearsall was one of two victims found injured on the scene and were both transferred to a local hospital. Pearsall was shot in the chest during the robbery and is in serious but stable condition. The suspect, a 17-year-old male from Tracy, California, has been arrested. The robbery seemed to be over a Rolex while Perseal was on his way to a signing event on Geary & Market.

Fellow teammate Deebo Samuel posted “he’s good… Thank god” in reference to Pearsall and his condition. Along with the San Francisco 49ers saying, “ Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky and his entire family.”

Ricky Pearsall who is 23 years old was drafted with the 31st pick in the 2024 NFL draft and was the sixth receiver taken in the first round. The former Florida standout receiver had been dealing with a shoulder injury throughout the preseason but returned to practice last week.

As this is a developing story no one knows Pearsalls time table to return, but the most important thing is that he is stable. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
