Dillon ran for 163 and 2 TDs in 2023, serving most of the season as the Packer's RB1 due to Aaron Jones's injury status.

Jacobs signed with the Packers as an unrestricted free agent on March 15, 2024, after spending his first five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Since joining the league in 2019, Jacobs has ranked No. 2 in rushing touchdowns (46), rushing yards (5,545), and rushing first downs (286). He will be filling the role of Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones, who left the Packers on March 12, 2024, three days before the signing of Jacobs.
In his previous season for Las Vegas, Jacobs ran for 805 yards and six touchdowns, both career lows. However, he only played 13 games and received 107 fewer carries than he did in the 2022 season. The 26-year-old running back will join Green Bay’s already young, when as of day one of OTA’s, the Packers have a league-low of a single player above 30 years old in Preston Smith, the 31-year-old defensive end.
With Dillon on IR, Jacobs will now receive a majority of carries, with MarShawn Lloyd and Emanuel Wilson being moved into RB2 and RB3 roles. Jacobs will make his first appearance in the regular season for the Packers on Friday, September 6, at 8:15 p.m. when Green Bay takes on the Philadelphia Eagles.
