Alex's Week 7 Waiver Wire Targets

    DeMario Douglas

Douglas and the Patriot's offense showed some resurgence in their week six matchup against the Texans. Despite the 41-21 loss, the team's offense showed real promise for the first time this season, scoring a season-high in points and touchdowns. With that comes the emerging WR1 in New England, which is Douglas, who saw six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. With at least nine targets in three of the last four games. With rookie quarterback Drake Maye at the helm, this Patriots offense has life and makes Douglas a potential flex option. Douglas is only rostered in 21.1% of ESPN leagues.

    Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tracy is a back I wrote about last week who had great production with Singletary out. He continued that production with an even better performance this week against the Bengals, bringing in 22.7 fantasy points with 50 rushing yards, a touchdown, six catches, and 57 receiving yards. Tracy has definitely earned a split backfield with Singletary and is averaging over five yards per carry as the lead back to Singletary's 3.9. Tracy is rostered in 45% of ESPN leagues.

    Kiami Vidal

Vidal shined in his debut. The 23-year-old back put up 13.1 fantasy points on Sunday with two catches for 40 yards, a touchdown, and four rushes for 11 yards. With Gus Edwards placed on the IR, meaning he will miss at least four games, Vidal will slide right into his role. Vidal and RB1 Dobbins will work side by side as the two main backs for the Chargers. Vidal's three-down skillset makes him intriguing and a nice handcuff for Dobbins owners. Vidal is only rostered in 2.3% of ESPN leagues.

    Sean Tucker

Tucker, known for tweeting about his performances on Syracuse after the game, exploded in his first real action for the Buccaneers. Tucker finished with 32.7 fantasy points with 136 rushing yards, three catches for 56 yards, and two total touchdowns. Tucker finished as the RB1 for the week while only playing 38% of the snaps. He had an insane 9.7 yards per carry and had a total of 17 opportunities against the Saints. It could be a three-back committee in Tampa Bay with the amount of talent they have in the position. I would try to stash Tucker if you have White or Irving. Tucker is only rostered in 1% of ESPN leagues.

    Bub Means

Means finished his week against the Buccaneers with 13.0 fantasy points, five catches for 45 yards and a touchdown. With Olave going down early in the game with an apparent concussion and speedster Rasheed Shaheed having a knee injury, the receiving options for the Saints are opened. Playing 71% of the snaps this week and seizing the opportunity, Means is a next-up man. With Rattler at QB and Olave probably going to miss week seven with that concussion, Means could be a flex play. Means is only rostered in 0.1% of ESPN leagues.

    D’Ernest Johnson

Johnson didn't have a stellar performance in week six, only logging 5.4 fantasy points with six carries for 28 yards and two catches for 16 yards. Despite the low number of points, Johnson played a season-high 56% of the snaps. With Etienne dealing with a hamstring injury that might hold him out in week seven and Bigsby's production being hit or miss, Johnson might be the best option. With two great matchups for running backs in New England and Green Bay, Johnson is a sneaky pickup for fantasy owners. Johnson is only rostered in 0.3% of ESPN leagues.
