Alex’s Week Six Waiver Wire Targets

    Ty Chandler

Aaron Jones suffered a hip injury during Sunday’s early morning game. With this injury potentially having Jones miss some time, Chandler could see a heavy workload like he experienced later in the 2023 season. Only 5.9 points last week but saw 14 carries and brought in two catches. He has shown his ability to be a workhorse back before and can do it again. The Vikings are on a bye this week, so keep that in mind, but Chandler is only rostered in 34.8% of ESPN leagues.

    Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tracy got some buzz during the preseason as a back who could take over this Giants backfield, and he showed why on Sunday. With 14.0 fantasy points, Tracy showed some real value as he averaged 7.2 yards per carry and rushed for 129 yards in the game. With Singletary out, Tracy could easily provide RB2 to flex value on any fantasy team, but even if he returns, this backfield could be more of a 1a-1b instead of a 1-2 backfield. Tracy is only rostered in 18.4% of ESPN leagues.

    Tank Bigsby

Bigsby had a MONSTER game on Sunday, helping the Jaguars get their first win of the season, scoring 25.9 fantasy points, rushing for 101 yards, two touchdowns, and one catch for 28 yards. Bigsby set multiple career highs on Sunday with his potential breakout game. Etienne is dealing with a shoulder injury, which could lead to more opportunity for Bigsby. Bigsby is only rostered in 9.6% of ESPN leagues, so grab him if you can.

    Jalen Tolbert

Another receiver who had a sort of breakout game was Jalen Tolbert, who shined with Brandon Cooks out. Playing a season-high in snaps and logging a career-high in targets, it is clear that Tolbert will slide right into the role that Cooks had. He logged seven catches for 87 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He is emerging as the WR2 in this offense, and with Cooks on the IR until at least Week 10, it gives Tolbert some very solid flex value. Tolbert is only rostered in 7.6% of leagues.

    JuJu Smith-Schuster

Smith-Schuster went crazy on Monday Night Football, logging 20.0 fantasy points and catching seven passes for 130 yards. This is the most receiving yards Smith-Schuster has had in a game since the 2020-2021 Wild Card round with the Steelers. Kansas City lacks receivers, and while Travis Kelce is terrific, he is going to need help around him, and it looks like Smith-Schuster could fill that role. With no Hollywood Brown or Rashee Rice for the rest of the season, Smith-Schuster could easily have gotten into that WR1 role in Kansas City. With Kansas City going into the bye this week, he is a good stash option that could flourish into a weekly Flex/WR2 play. He is only rostered in 4.3% of ESPN leagues.

    Josh Downs

Downs had another good week with QB Joe Flacco at the helm. Logging 15.9 fantasy points with nine catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. He has outscored the likes of Ceedee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Garrett Wilson in the past two weeks. Ranking as the WR11 in those past two weeks, he is a clear WR2 option with Flacco running this offense and a flex option with Richardson running the offense. He is only rostered in 34.9% of ESPN leagues.

    Cade Otton

Otton had another solid week, logging 7.4 fantasy points on Thursday Night Football. Playing 95.2% of snaps throughout the past three weeks and finishing in the top ten of tight ends twice out of the last three weeks, it is clear that he has some playing time in this pass-heavy Tampa Bay offense. He is a great streaming option at tight end, and with byes and injuries, he is a great pickup. He is only rostered in 16.6% of ESPN leagues.
