The Baltimore Ravens were able to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 41-38 in overtime. This was each team's first AFC North game, so starting things off on the right foot was important for Baltimore.

The game was very back and forth, but it looked like the Bengals were going to come out on top. Lamar Jackson was able to work his magic and quickly erase a 10 point deficit to send it to overtime. The Bengals then missed a field goal and allowed Derrick Henry to break off a huge gain, ultimately ending the game.

Jackson showed why he is the reigning NFL MVP, delivering a massive performance Sunday. He completed 26 of 42 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 55 yards on 12 attempts. He made lots of impressive plays, including a 6-yard touchdown pass to Isaih Likely which brought the Ravens within one score.

Henry was quiet for most of the game, but shined when he was needed. He finished with 92 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, but had a massive 51-yard run in overtime to ice the game.

Zay Flowers had a huge game, catching seven balls for 111 yards. He led the way receiving, while Likely chipped in catching two touchdowns. Tight end Charlie Kolar and wide receiver Rashod Bateman also played big roles, each going for over 50 yards and a touchdown a piece.

For the Bengals, this loss was absolutely heartbreaking. A season which they had high expectations is quickly falling apart as they move to 1-4. Every game they have lost has been by one score, including this game and a one-point loss to the Chiefs.

Joe Burrow played near perfect football today, completing 30 of his 39 attempts for 393 yards and five touchdowns. He did throw an interception late in the fourth that led to the Ravens game-tying 56 yard field goal.

The Bengals elite wide receiver duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins was on full display today, as the two combined for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Chase himself continued to produce, catching 10 passes for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Higgins also had himself a day catching nine balls for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Chase Brown caught the other touchdown, but did not produce much through the air or on the ground.

The Ravens are finally finding their stride, and have now won three straight games. When Jackson is playing the way he did today, the team is near unbeatable and will cause problems all year. The Bengals on the other hand have to fix their ways. Their defensive play has been unacceptable and needs to tighten up if they want to turn their season around. The Bengals travel to Metlife Stadium next week to play the Giants, a game where they should and must win.
