Josh Allen steps back in the pocket

The Buffalo Bills delivered a dominant performance in the first of two games from the Monday Night Football slate. They won by a score of 47-10.

Josh Allen shined delivering a near-perfect performance. Allen threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns, while completing just over 76% of his passes. He also rushed six times for 44 yards.

Khalil Shakir led the way receiving, hauling in six catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. Keon Coleman, the rookie out of Florida State, also caught his first career touchdown on a 24-yard catch.

The Bills also rushed for 123 yards total and two touchdowns. James Cook opened the scoring with his 6-yard rushing touchdown, and rookie Ray Davis closed it, scoring his first career touchdown on a 3-yard rush.

The Jaguars were not able to convert when it mattered all night, going 2-for-13 on third down attempts. They also turned the ball over on fourth-down four times throughout the course of the game.

Trevor Lawrence continued his struggles to start off the season, only completing 55% of his passes. He had 178 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Mac Jones also saw his first action of the season, in which he lost a fumble and threw for 22 yards on eight attempts. The Jaguars quarterbacks also got sacked a total of five times, Lawrence taking four of them.

Travis Etienne looked good on the ground, getting 68 yards on 11 carries. The Jaguars went down too big too soon for their run game to have any real effect on the game, however.

The Bills are now 3-0, and have one of the most impressive offenses in the league. Despite losing Stefon Diggs in the preseason, Buffalo is averaging just over 37 points-per-game. If they keep that pace up, they will not be losing games anytime soon, especially with the way their defense has played since opening night. Buffalo will travel to Baltimore and Houston their next two games, which may both have significant roles in the playoff seeding come the end of the year.
