The Buffalo Bills will be without veteran All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano for most of the 2024 season after Milano tore his bicep. Milano left Bills practice earlier in the week holding his arm. He left practice and stayed on the sideline, which gave Bills fans hope of not a severe injury, but it appears it is. With this injury, Milano will have to undergo surgery with the hope of returning later in the season.

Milano was a big storyline for the Bills this season after missing most of last year with a fractured leg, which he suffered in Week 5. Milano, who inked a two-year extension with the team in March of 2023, has been rarely healthy since signing. However, injuries have followed Milano every season since becoming a full-time starter with the Bills in 2018, with him unable to stay healthy for a full slate of games. With Milano now sidelined for a significant amount of time, the Bills will have to rely heavily on second-year LB Dorian Williams, a third-round pick for the Bills in 2023.
Coach McDermott: It’s unfortunate news regarding Matt Milano’s bicep injury. He’s a resilient person and we’re all here to support him. ❤️💙 #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/MMNn6Z7mKL

This is yet another brutal blow for the Bills, who lost many critical pieces in the offseason. With the departures of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Mitch Morse, Jordan Poyer, and Tre’Davious White, the Bills will now miss another veteran for quite some time. With the defense being inefficient last year without Milano, HC Sean McDermott will have to find a way to adjust without the veteran.
