After a long summer standoff with the Cowboys, CeeDee Lamb finally got his historic deal earlier today.
The star wideout got a four-year, $136 million extension with Dallas, making him the highest-paid wide receiver and second-highest-paid non-QB ever. Not only is he making history, but he is getting $100 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $38 million. At just $34 million a year, he is the second-highest receiver annually, with Minnesota Justin Jefferson first getting paid $35 million a year.

The #Cowboys and All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb agreed on a massive 4-year extension worth $136M, per me and @TomPelissero.

The back-and-forth between Lamb and the Cowboys has been going on since OTAs in which Lamb wasn't present. He has remained out in his efforts to get a new contract with the team. This summer, words from owner Jerry Jones and various social media posts made by Lamb made a rollercoaster for Cowboys players and fans. A deal seemed close as the preseason wrapped up, and now it is here: Lamb will stay with the Cowboys.
In Lamb's first four years, he was definitely the number-one option for the Cowboys. With 5,145 receiving yards, 395 receptions, and 32 receiving touchdowns, he is by far the best offensive weapon for the team. Coming off his best season, where he put up numbers like 135 catches, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns, it is clear to see why he was paid the big bucks.
CeeDee Lamb is now the eleventh receiver to sign a lucrative contract this offseason:
