Chiefs top wide receiver Rashee Rice suffered a knee injury in a 17-10 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. The injury did not look good, and he was forced to leave the game on a cart.

According to Adam Schefter, it is feared that he tore his ACL and will not be able to play again this season, which would be a huge loss to the team. Rice will undergo further testing to confirm the injury.

Rice was off to a great start of the season, catching 24 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns in his first three games. The next closest receiver going into their game Sunday was rookie Xavier Worthy, who had 81 yards in his first three games.

After Rice got injured, the rest of the receivers had to step up, which they were able to do and did just enough to win. Travis Kelce, who has struggled tremendously to start the year, looked like himself today hauling in seven catches for 89 yards. He was the leading receiver for Kansas City Today.

Xavier Worthy was also able to help fill the vacant role of their best receiver, as he caught three balls for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Patrick Mahomes did not play his best, but did enough to will his team to victory. Mahomes completed 19 of 29 passes for 245 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He also rushed for 12 yards.

On the rushing end, Kareem Hunt played his first game this season, and did not look bad after Carson Steele fumbled early and did not play much after. Hunt rushed for 69 yards on 14 carries, and caught another two passes for 16 yards. Hunt played the majority of snaps, edging out Samaje Perine.

The Chiefs improved to 4-0, but will have to figure out who will step up in the absence of Rice for the remainder of the year. If Worthy can break out as a true wide receiver one, that would be huge for the Chiefs and will give Kansas City a great receiving core when Rice recovers and returns to the lineup in the future. The Chiefs will work to figure out the offense and return to action next Monday against the New Orleans Saints.
