The Commanders shocked the Bengals on Monday night football, led by their standout rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels showed why he was drafted in the first-round after a dominant performance on Monday Night Football. He was near perfect all night and delivered potentially the best rookie performance so far this season.
Daniels dominated the Bengals defense, completing 21 of his 23 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. His 91.3% completion is the highest in the history of the NFL. He also led the team in rushing, carrying the ball 11 times for 20 yards and another touchdown. Crazy enough, Daniels completed his first ever touchdown pass to Trent Scott, one of his offensive lineman.

Daniels’ main guy on Monday night was Terry McLaurin, who hauled in four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. McLaurin and Daniels connected on two perfectly thrown deep balls, one which resulted in a touchdown and the other that gave the Commanders a first and goal.

The Bengals have lots to figure out, starting the season a shocking 0-3. Many thought they would be one of the top teams in the league, but have now dropped games to the Patriots and Commanders, both of whom they were heavy favorites against.
Joe Burrow delivered a great game himself, going for 324 yards and three touchdowns. He also completed 29 of his 38 passes and never turned the ball over.
His favorite target, Ja’Marr Chase finally found his footing tonight, catching six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Tee Higgins was inserted back into the lineup for the first time this year, but did not do much as he only had 39 yards on three receptions.

The Commanders look like a team that can cause problems, especially if their rookie quarterback can continue to play as well as he did tonight. The Commanders will face off against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, which looks like it will be a very good quarterback matchup.
