Jalen Hurts getting ready to throw the ball

The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers faced off Friday, in the NFL’s first-ever game in Brazil. The Eagles were able to squeeze out a victory, winning 34-29.

Philadelphia got the win off the back of Saquon Barkley, who had one of the best new-team debuts ever. Barkley rushed for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns and added another 23 yards and a touchdown through the air.

AJ Brown and Devonta Smith proved to be a dynamic duo once again, with the two combining for over 200 yards. Brown went for 119 and a touchdown, while Smith went for 84 yards.

Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions but was still productive as he threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns.

The Packers on the other hand struggled to capitalize on their chances. To start the game, Hurts both fumbled and threw an interception deep in his own territory, but Green Bay failed to score a touchdown both times.

The Packers did however get a huge performance from Jayden Reed. Reed had 138 yards and a touchdown through the air and a 33-yard rushing touchdown.

Jordan Love struggled through the air, completing just 50% of his passes. He had 260 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw an interception that led to an Eagles touchdown. Love also got hurt on one of the last plays of the game, and had to be helped off the field. It did not look good for the franchise quarterback.

The Packers new star running back struggled in the first half but picked it up in the second half. Josh Jacobs totaled 84 rushing yards and 20 receiving yards.

The Eagles proved that they could beat the best, and held strong against the Packers. Philadelphia will look to continue to run Barkley, especially now that everyone can see he is still a top back in the league. Philadelphia will take on the Falcons next week.
